SRI awarded Cherry Point Telecom O&M
SRI has been awarded the Telecommunications Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contract providing support to the Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East at the Marine Corp Air Station - Cherry Point. FRC-East is a DoD Aviation Repair Facility which provides telecommunications support for approximately 4,000 customers on the installation and its outlying areas.
The air station and its associated support locations occupy more than 29,000 acres. Its runway system is so large that the air station serves as an alternate emergency landing site for the space shuttle launches out of Cape Canaveral, FL.
For more than 60 years, Fleet Readiness Center East has never lost focus of its central mission “Service to the Fleet." The command is dedicated to providing our nation with the highest quality maintenance, engineering and logistics support for DoD aviation. In addition to a high-quality product, FRC-East ensures this support is delivered on time and at the least cost. Therefore, SRI’s telecommunications support is critical to assisting FRC-East meet its mission.
